StreamPlume Expands Into Central and Southeastern Europe with New Warsaw and Sofia Points of Presence
StreamPlume today announced the opening of two new points of presence, in Warsaw, Poland and Sofia, Bulgaria, bringing the company's regional footprint to eleven countries across Europe. The new sites reduce round-trip latency for broadcasters and e-learning platforms serving audiences in Poland, Bulgaria, and neighbouring markets, and add redundant capacity to the company's existing Central European coverage.
"Every new point of presence is a direct response to where our customers' viewers actually are," said Marko Lindqvist, VP of Network Operations at StreamPlume. "Warsaw and Sofia were the two clearest gaps in our Central and Southeastern European coverage, and closing them was a priority for this half."

StreamPlume Launches Adaptive Bitrate Preset Library for Independent Broadcasters
StreamPlume has released a library of adaptive bitrate presets tuned for common independent broadcast scenarios, including talk formats, live sport, and music performance. The presets are built into the StreamPlume encoding pipeline and can be applied with a single setting, removing the need for smaller broadcasters to manually tune bitrate ladders for each type of programming.
Early access customers reported a reduction in rebuffering events during high-motion sports content after switching to the sport-tuned preset, without an increase in average bitrate. The preset library is available now to all StreamPlume customers on the Growth and Enterprise plans.

StreamPlume Publishes 2025 Reliability Report: 99.982% Uptime
StreamPlume has published its second annual reliability report, covering platform performance across the 2025 calendar year. The report records 99.982% platform uptime, a modest improvement over 2024, and details the two incidents that accounted for the remaining downtime, including root cause and remediation for each.
"Publishing this report every year, including the parts that didn't go perfectly, is how we hold ourselves accountable to the broadcasters who depend on us," said Elina Koskinen, Chief Technology Officer. The full report is available to press and partners on request.

StreamPlume and Baltic Media Group Announce Multi-Year Streaming Partnership
StreamPlume and Baltic Media Group today announced a multi-year agreement under which StreamPlume will provide live and on-demand delivery infrastructure for Baltic Media Group's sports and entertainment channels across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The partnership covers encoding, delivery, and viewer analytics for an audience Baltic Media Group estimates at over two million monthly viewers.
"We needed a delivery partner who could guarantee low latency for live match coverage without us having to build and operate that infrastructure ourselves," said a Baltic Media Group spokesperson. The first channels moved onto StreamPlume's network in January 2026.

StreamPlume Surpasses 40 Points of Presence Worldwide
StreamPlume announced today that its delivery network has grown to more than 40 points of presence worldwide, following the addition of sites in South America and Southeast Asia earlier this year. The expansion extends the company's coverage beyond its original European and North American footprint into markets where customer demand for regional delivery has grown fastest.
The company said the milestone reflects steady, deliberate growth rather than a single large build-out, with new sites added roughly every six to eight weeks since early 2024 based on measured customer traffic patterns.

StreamPlume Names Elina Koskinen Chief Technology Officer
StreamPlume announced the appointment of Elina Koskinen as Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. Koskinen joins from a decade in broadcast engineering roles and will oversee the company's encoding pipeline, network operations, and platform reliability work.
"StreamPlume has built something genuinely reliable at a size most delivery networks take twice as long to reach," said Koskinen. "My focus now is making sure that reliability holds as we keep adding regions." Koskinen succeeds outgoing CTO Henrik Aalto, who remains with the company as a technical advisor.
